Hair Coloring Dos and Don’ts (part 2)
You can try labels like Revlon, L’ Oreal, Nutrisse, and Clairol. Their products range from permanent to semi-permanent, and has rich, lasting colors. Once you’ve chosen, be sure to read the directions. If it’s your first time to use the product, take an allergy test. Rub the colorant on a small patch of skin, then wait for 24 hours. If there isn’t any itchy or tingly sensation, you’re ready to try it on your tresses.
Apply the coloring cream on your hair in sections. This is to achieve a consistent shade on all the areas of your mane. When done, be sure to discard the hair color immediately. I stress the last word because once the hair color has been exposed to air, it darkens as if it’s spoiled already. Don’t use the cream anymore to prevent any hair damage or allergies. That’s why it’s important to be sure of how dark or light you want your shade to be. If you wanted to change anything, do it immediately, and don’t wait for 20 minutes. Your hair color has darkened by then.
